Samarkand State Medical University was established in 1930 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and is the oldest and one of the most prestigious medical schools in Central Asia. Spring-March to May: Springtime in Samarkand gradually reaches an average temperature of 10°C to 22°C or about 50°F to 72°F. March is cool and stays at about 10°C/50°F, while May is fairly warm and close to 22°C/72°F. The season is very pleasant for outdoor activities, with flowers in bloom and the city awakening.
Summer (June to August): Summers are hot and dry; daytime temperatures range from 25°C to 35°C, while in July and August, these usually reach as high as 36°C. Evenings, however, are mostly cooler and pleasant.
Autumn (September to November): During autumn, temperature gradually decreases from 25°C in September to 10°C in November. It is warm and sunny in September, with cooler winds during late autumn that turn into winter.
To study MBBS at Samarkand State Medical University, you must first pass the NEET exam.
As per the eligibility criteria of NEET candidates should pass the Class 12th Board exam from a recognised institute and board from the Science stream with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate (40 per cent for OBC/SC/ST and 45 per cent for PWD category candidates).
