Bukhara State Medical University, set up in 1990 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, is a government medical university accredited by major international bodies, including being listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WHO/WDOMS) and follows the eligibility criteria for screening/licensing pathways to the National Medical Commission (NMC), India. The medium of instruction at the university is English and Uzbek/Russian. Indian students have to directly apply to the MBBS course. Autumn (September to November): Autumn brings mild and pleasant weather. The mercury steadily descends from 25°C in September to about 10°C in November, corresponding to a range from 77°F to 50°F. This is usually characterized by clear skies and a gentle breeze, giving the environment a serene aspect beforehand, with winter approaching.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage city famous for its ancient architecture, cultural heritage, and vibrant local life. Bukhara State Medical University is within walking distance from the well-known sights of the city: Ark Fortress, Po-i-Kalyan Complex, and Lyab-i Hauz Square.
